0.5” GTI^® Zero Void^® Stressing-End Threaded Metal Ring

The GTI^® Zero Void^® System eliminates the need to fill sleeves (tubes) at stressing-ends with grease as required by ACI and PTI Guide Specifications. The Zero Void^® System uses seals to provide thermal tolerance for shrinkage of the sheathing and watertight sealing of the encapsulation.

The GTI^® Zero Void^® Stressing-End Threaded Metal Ring allows cutting tendons with GTI^® Plasma Cutter, GTI^® PocketShear^®, or oxyacetylene torch. The GTI^® Plasma Cutter generates a minimal amount of heat during cutting and has no effect on the heat treatment of strand or wedges compared to using oxyacetylene torch cutting. Additionally, the GTI^® Plasma Cutter and GTI^® PocketShear^® quickly cut the tendon tail to a precise length, unlike other methods. The threaded metal ring protects the encapsulation from the heat generated by an oxyacetylene torch.

The GTI^® Zero Void^® Stressing-End Threaded Metal Ring allows the use of a threaded mandrel so that GTI^® Nail-Less Pocket Formers can be used thus eliminating nails to fasten the stressing anchor to the edge form thus eliminating staining of the concrete surface.

The GTI^® GROUT-LOCK^® Pocket Former, consisting of a pocket former with a lock ring that can be used with the GTI^® Zero Void^® System, is a unique concept to improve the quality and longevity of post-tensioning tendons by providing a mechanical bond that holds the grout plug tightly in place against the surrounding concrete even in less than ideal conditions where the stressing pocket is wet, dirty, covered with grease, or torch residue. The GTI^® GROUT-LOCK^® Ring has an interior concave surface creating a shear key and slides into position on the GTI GROUT-LOCK^® Pocket Former holding it in place.
